Values and Culture by
            Jenny Hill and Patricia Tallack

Purpose

An organisational behavioural activity that asks you to think about the values and culture of your organisation. These two concepts are sometimes used interchangeably - but there is a crucial difference between them.

When you have completed this activity you should be able to:

  • describe your organisation's values

  • describe the underlying culture of your organisation

  • identify potential conflicts between your organisation's culture and its stated values

  • suggest some practical steps your organisation could take to reconcile values and culture.

Audience
