Purpose and benefitsAsking questions is something we learn to do as children. When we are learning about the world, we are curious, interested, and hungry for information. However, when young we are often discouraged from asking questions with irritable retorts from adults who don’t have time to explain. When we go to school, we are encouraged to provide the “right” answers to questions and when we are teenagers, we always seem to be asking the “wrong” questions; to which the answer is often “No!” So we enter our adult years without having perfected this art which can reveal the world to us in all its richness. Asking a carefully-positioned and accurate question—the “right” question—can be extremely illuminating and give us the information we need to make accurate judgements and good decisions. This Actionlist will help you to do just that. |
