Edgar Schein is a social psychologist, best known for his work on corporate culture, a term that he is generally credited with inventing. He is one of the originators of the field of organisational psychology and worked closely with the human resources school of the late 1950s and 1960s. His work has exerted a steadily growing influence on management theory, particularly over the last 20 years.
