Purpose and benefits

Fons Trompenaars has made a significant contribution to the understanding of globalisation and cultural issues. He has made a particular study of the differences between what he calls the ‘universalism’ of the West (playing finite games that are one or lost) and the ‘particularism’ of the East (engaging more co-operatively in an infinite game). He lays especial emphasis on the necessity and the value of reconciling cultural differences.
