Purpose and benefitsThe man who turned his eponymous sports car into a billion-dollar brand was forced to abandon his education by the outbreak of the first world war and to take a job in a local workshop. But, having been fascinated by racing cars from the age of ten, Enzo Ferrari realised a dream when he joined a racing team, first as a test driver, then as the racing driver. In 1929 he started his own company, Scuderia Ferrari, to provide services to other racing teams. It gradually evolved, however, into a racing team in its own right. |
