Dressing the Part by
            Jenny Hill and Joy Packard

Purpose

This activity helps participants consider the impression they need to create when making a presentation to an audience. Participants can also get feedback on the image they currently portray.

Benefits

A thought-provoking activity that gets the message across that it's the packaging that sells and presenters need to dress for their audience. Participants understand that the mark of good dressing is when people notice the person not the clothes.

Audience

For participants at all levels who want to develop their presentation skills on a one-to-one or group basis.

Learning method

Active. Working in pairs participants give each other structured feedback on the image they project. Participants go on to consider the power of clothes in projecting the right image.
