Purpose

This activity on interviewing provides participants with practice in using a framework for planning and prioritising the process for recruiting a new employee.

Benefits

For an emerging manager quite often the only interview they may have attended will have been their own - so planning the process may be a new step to consider. In recruitment they need to make sure they get the right person for the job not the best person.

Audience

First line or emerging managers, supervisors and team leaders.

Learning method

Active. Pairs exercise taking participants through a four stage process in planning to recruit a new employee.
