Purpose

To undertake a training and development needs analysis for your organisation you should be clear about the kinds of learning needs which may be identified. This module will help you to explore those needs.

By completing this module you will be able to distinguish between the following types of learning:

  • attitudes

  • knowledge

  • vocational skills

  • key skills

  • competence.

Benefits

An individual may have to learn many different things before they are able to perform a particular role at work. So that you can carry out a TNA you will need to be able to differentiate between attitudes, knowledge, vocational skills, key skills and competence. This activity will assist you in this differentiation.

Practical. Activity based upon three driving test requirements which define a set of standards for competent performance.
