Fons Trompenaars, who works alongside the British academic Charles Hampden-Turner, leads the way in promoting better understanding of the complex dynamics of multiculturalism. Fons has a PhD from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and worked with the Royal Dutch Shell Group in nine countries. He is now director of the Trompenaars Hampden-Turner consultancy firm, which has offices in the Netherlands and the United States.
