Purpose and benefits

The US real-estate developer Donald Trump (1946–) is one of business’s greatest comeback kings. In the early 1970s Trump, not yet 30, conducted a series of audacious property deals that marked him out as an extremely shrewd operator. In the 1980s he lived up to his early promise with the completion of projects such as the Trump Tower and Trump Plaza, making him, arguably, the greatest property developer of the post-war period. In the 1990s,a slightly chastened but still irrepressible Trump mounted a comeback after foundations of his empire had crumbled through over expansion.
